The project was to set up the EMEA Finance Centre (Shared Services Centre / Organisation / SSC) for the European operation. The objective of this new centralised operation was to provide a number of benefits to the business, including: Scalability and flexibility to support future business growth, Speedy and seamless integration of acquired businesses, Capacity for easy entry into new countries, Delivery of ‘smart’ solutions (e.g. electronic expense processing Scanning based workflow), Greater flexibility and operational efficienciesBy providing the client side project manager, we were responsible for the set up of the EMEA Finance Centre (EFC) in Warsaw, Poland.
Identify, acquire, fit-out and provide technology infrastructure for this 900m2 office seating 60 people.
Define requirements and hire shared services permanent staff team.
Ensure transfer of knowledge between the existing finance organisation and new SSC via Work shadowing process.
Define requirements, perform vendor selection and manage the implementation of EFC specific systems including AP scanning workflow solution.
Ensure cross functional integration, including new finance ERP, HR ERP, new expenses system and corporate credit card systems.
Overall responsibility for project deliverables.
